FansCamera privacy policy
The short version: FansCamera never sends your photos, videos or any usage data to us or to any third party. It is a purely local camera app, and apart from Apple's subscription check it makes no network requests at all.
1. What we handle
We collect nothing. The app asks for no sign-up, generates no user ID and keeps no record of how you use it.
Your photos and videos, along with your watermark text, chosen preset and quality and parameter preferences, exist only on your device — finished shots go into the system photo library, settings live in the app's own local storage. We can neither see nor reach any of it.
2. Device permissions
- Camera — the point of the app: framing and shooting.
- Microphone — used only while recording video, for the live sound. Decline it and you can still take photos and record silent video.
- Photos (add only) — used to save finished shots into your library. We request iOS's add-only permission, which means we cannot read or browse the photos already in your library.
- Location (optional) — see the next section.
3. Location
Like Apple's own Camera app, FansCamera can write the shooting location into the EXIF / QuickTime metadata of a shot, so you can find a particular show by place later on.
That location is written into the file in your own library and nowhere else. It is never sent to a server and we keep no copy. If you don't want it, simply decline the location permission — every shooting feature works exactly the same, the files just carry no place tag.
4. Subscription
FansCamera Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Payment, renewal and cancellation all happen inside your Apple Account; we never see your payment method or account details and only use Apple's on-device check to know whether Pro is currently active. You can cancel any time under iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
5. What we don't do
- No uploading of photos, videos or thumbnails.
- No ad SDK, no crash or behavioural analytics SDK, no IDFA request, no cross-app tracking.
- No access to contacts, calendars, health data or the existing contents of your photo library.
- We don't sell, rent or trade any data — because there is no data to trade.
6. Your choices
Every permission can be revoked at any time under iOS Settings › Privacy & Security. The footage is yours: deleting, exporting and sharing all happen in the system photo library, entirely on your terms. Deleting the app does not remove photos and videos you have already saved.
7. Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes and contact
If a future version introduces a feature that needs the network, we will update this page, change the "last updated" date, and tell you clearly inside the app before switching it on.
